Quarter-finals schedule of the Nations League
Although they were trailing from the start, Nagelsmann's team managed to reverse the score and claim victory at San Siro.
Sandro Tonali opened the scoring just 9 minutes into the match, but this goal proved insufficient for the “Squadra Azzurra”.
Entering the pitch immediately after halftime, Tim Kleindienst equalized in the 49th minute, while Leon Goretzka secured the win for “Die Mannschaft” half an hour later.
Thus, Germany heads into the second leg with the upper hand for advancing to the next stage of the competition.
